Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with the support of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College organized its 24th International Scientific Conference under the slogan:
“Comprehensive and Distinguished Education: The Foundation of Creativity and Innovation.”
The conference was held on June 7–8, 2024, at Celebration Square Hall, with the attendance of representatives of the University Presidency, the Head of the Iraqi Dentists Association, members of parliament, deans of medical colleges, and a large number of dentists and researchers.
Opening Ceremony
The conference commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an and Al-Fatiha in tribute to the martyrs of Iraq and Palestine, followed by the Iraqi national anthem.
Documentary films highlighting the achievements of the College of Dentistry were also presented.
In his speech, the Conference President and Dean of the College emphasized the College’s academic and research excellence, reflecting Iraq’s commitment to quality and leadership in research and higher education. He highlighted continuous efforts to enhance education, scientific research, and infrastructure development, contributing to improved academic quality and sustainable progress in dentistry in Iraq.
The representative of the University President addressed the importance of creativity as a cornerstone of higher education, encouraging innovative research approaches, the integration of artificial intelligence applications, and enhancing academic quality and knowledge production in light of rapid technological advancement.
On the sidelines of the conference, a medical devices exhibition was inaugurated.
