Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled “Oral Microbiota in Aging and Diseases.”

The workshop was delivered by Professor Zainab Abdul Jabbar and Assistant Professor Maha Fadhel Estifan, with the attendance of a number of faculty members of the college.

The workshop aimed to identify and understand the relationship between oral microorganisms, aging, and age-related diseases.

The workshop included several main topics:

First topic: Oral microbiology.

Second topic: The relationship between oral microbiota, aging, and age-related diseases.

The workshop recommended that oral microorganisms represent an emerging field with new concepts, innovative approaches, and promising clinical applications. It also highlighted the potential for future interventions and therapeutic strategies targeting aging and related diseases.
