The workshop aimed to raise community awareness about the dangers of narcotics and drugs available on the market, explaining their effects on various body organs, as well as introducing methods for identifying drug users.
The workshop covered several scientific topics, addressing the effects of the most common narcotics in society, particularly methamphetamine, on mental and physical health, methods of use, the health symptoms exhibited by addicts, and their negative consequences and resulting social problems. The lecture also discussed the types of medications and painkillers available on the market, outlining the correct principles for their use and access, and clarifying the differences between painkillers and narcotics.
The lecturers recommended intensifying awareness programs regarding the most common types of narcotics and methods for identifying drug users through their vital signs and visible physical characteristics, thereby contributing to reducing this phenomenon and protecting the health of individuals and society.
