Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad – Department of Media and Government Communication, organized a seminar entitled “The Holy Quran and the Development of the Individual and Society within the Framework of Islamic Values ​​and Identity” on the occasion of National Quran Day. The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Faisal Ahmed and attended by a number of students and staff members of the college.

The seminar aimed to highlight the pivotal role of the Holy Quran in shaping the character of the Muslim individual, strengthening the system of moral values, and consolidating Islamic identity.

The seminar included several key themes, most notably:

The first theme: The Role of the Holy Quran in Shaping the Individual’s Character. This theme addressed the role of the Holy Quran in refining and purifying the human soul and instilling moral values ​​in the character of the Muslim individual. The second theme: The Holy Quran and the System of Moral Values. This theme focused on the Quranic foundation upon which the system of moral values ​​is based, highlighting the value of justice in the Quranic approach.

The third theme: The Role of the Holy Quran in Establishing Islamic Identity. This theme addressed the Holy Quran’s contribution to building a balanced civilizational awareness that combines tradition and modernity, and strengthens religious and cultural belonging.

The fourth theme: The Holy Quran and its Impact on Building a Righteous Society. This theme focused on the role of Quranic values ​​in preserving rights, protecting public interests, and promoting the principles of solidarity and cooperation.

The symposium recommended: the necessity of holding regular Quranic seminars and programs to enhance societal awareness of the status of the Holy Quran, supporting initiatives concerned with interpreting and reflecting upon the Holy Quran in a way that considers the needs of society, and utilizing media outlets and social media platforms to disseminate Quranic values.
