Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Ismail Ibrahim Al-Bustani, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific seminar entitled “Modern Innovations in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Diseases.” The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Fadia Abdul-Muhsin and attended by a number of faculty members.

The seminar aimed to introduce chronic diseases, their causes, and their health effects, highlighting the global health burden they represent. It also discussed traditional and modern diagnostic methods and reviewed the latest treatment approaches and future technologies that contribute to improving the level of healthcare.

The seminar included several scientific topics, most notably the developments and modern technologies used in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and kidney disease. It also discussed early diagnostic tools such as advanced medical imaging, genetic analysis, and artificial intelligence techniques that contribute to identifying medical conditions with greater accuracy and speed. The symposium recommended the importance of adopting artificial intelligence-based systems for the early detection of chronic diseases, and providing customized treatment plans for each patient based on their health data, which enhances integration between technology and the health sector, as well as organizing specialized workshops and training courses for health workers to raise their efficiency in using modern technologies in diagnosis and treatment.
