The College of Dentistry Council at the University of Baghdad held its regular meeting, the twenty-third session, on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Ismail Ibrahim, and attended by the Vice Deans and Heads of Academic Departments.

The meeting began with a review of the directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Baghdad Presidency, and the Dean. Discussions focused on ways to enhance academic and administrative performance and to make necessary decisions to ensure the public interest and advance the academic and administrative process.

The meeting included hosting student representatives from the first, second, and third years of study to hear their suggestions and opinions. These suggestions centered on ways to develop the educational environment and improve the level of academic services provided within the college. The council also discussed the most prominent challenges facing students and worked to develop practical and appropriate solutions to address them, contributing to a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters creativity and excellence.

The council also discussed proposals submitted by the academic departments, the Scientific Affairs Department, the Postgraduate Studies Department, the Student Affairs Department, and the Administrative Department, all aimed at meeting the needs of the job market. This meeting comes within the framework of the periodic meetings of the College Council, which aim to make appropriate decisions in accordance with its agenda and in line with the applicable instructions and regulations, in an effort to implement the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the directives of the Presidency of the University of Baghdad related to the educational and academic process.
