The College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific symposium entitled (Electronic Extortion: Its Methods and Treatment)which was presented by Prof. Dr. Maha Adel Mahmoud.
The symposium aimed to introduce the means of electronic extortion and educate individuals about the methods that must be followed when exposed to electronic extortion and the mechanism of protecting accounts from hacking.
The symposium also included the following topics:
1- Definition of the meaning of electronic extortion and its means
2- Motives for the occurrence of electronic extortion and its objectives
3- The negative effect of electronic extortion on individuals and society
4- The steps to be followed when exposed to the crime of electronic extortion
5- Ways to protect accounts from hacking
