Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Ismail Ibrahim, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a cultural seminar on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), entitled “Imam Ali Is Alive and Has Not Died.”
The seminar was delivered by the civil engineer Ali Fadel from Al-Nahrain University and was attended by the respected Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, as well as a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the college.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the noble life and legacy of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and to draw inspiration from the humanistic and moral values he embodied throughout his life. He stands as a model of justice, wisdom, courage, and asceticism. The seminar also highlighted his scholarly and humanitarian status in Islamic history and emphasized how his character continues to serve as a source of inspiration for generations in various fields of life.
The seminar included several themes addressing different aspects of Imam Ali’s personality. Among the most prominent were his humility and asceticism in life, his courage in defending truth, his vast knowledge and wisdom in managing the affairs of the state and society, as well as his significant role in establishing the principles of justice, fairness, and human coexistence. The seminar also discussed several illuminating moments from his life that reflect the depth of his ethical and humanitarian values, which continue to serve as a guiding example in building societies.
